Wholesale FAQ

This wholesale website is exclusively for 49 Dzine Members. All prices reflected in the catalog
have already been slashed to show the wholesale discounted price in USD- if you are not from the USA, your prices may be reflected in your home country currency. You should look for the 3 letter abbreviation after the price on an item to see what currency you are currently viewing (CAD = Canadian Dollars, USD = US Dollars)

To access the website: please go to www.49dzinewholesale.com. You may come upon a page that asks for you to enter a password. Please enter the password provided in the email sent to you when you signed up.

How do I place a wholesale order?
It's a good idea to create a wholesale client account by clicking the person icon in the top right corner. Having an account means each time you log in the website will auto populate your information from your previous orders. You can still order if you don't create an account, though. Add items to your shopping cart. Review your
orders and fill up your desired shipping address before proceeding to payment. The ordering
process will be the same as when you shop online.

Is there a minimum order amount for wholesale?
A minimum of $600 worth of products is required.


Is there a maximum order amount for wholesale?
For USA customers (only), you may only order $9500 per day due to US Law. If you need to order more than this amount, you must break your order up into multiple orders and order on different days.

Tax Charges:
All orders placed on this website will automatically calculate taxes based on the delivery address entered at checkout. If you are tax-exempt due to Status Card, please email wholesale@49design.org after you have placed your order and we will refund you the tax amount paid on your order. In your email, please include the following information:

  • Order number
  • Scanned copy of front and back of your status card 
  • Verification that the delivery address is located on a government-recognized reserve.

Please note that status cards can not be expired. Status card tax exemption is only available to Canadian customers. If you reside in a province that provides tax exemption for resellers, please email wholesale@49design.org and we will refund the applicable tax amount paid on your order. In your email, please include the following:

  • Order number
  • Business name
  • Business license number


What if I am having my product delivered to a reserve?
Please send a copy of your status card to wholesale@49design.org and verify your on-reserve address and we will refund your tax. If you are not on a CANADIAN FIRST NATIONS RESERVE, you must pay whatever tax is calculated at checkout. 

How long will my order take to be delivered?
Order times vary by product as we use multiple manufacturers across the globe to help produce our products. Typically, wholesale orders will take 4 to 6 weeks from the date payment clears to be delivered, but in most cases will be much quicker than that. Due to COVID-19 Shipping backlogs, we encourage you to order quickly for holiday fulfillment and sell through.

Why is my order taking longer than you said?
Orders can be delayed for a variety of reasons from delays in available transport, delays with customs in the destination country, manufacturing delays but the most common reason for delays is caused by incorrect address information. All orders will have their shipping addresses verified by the local postal authority before being shipped. If the address provided cannot be verified by the local postal authority, we will contact you to confirm your address prior to

Please note that if you confirm that the address provided is indeed correct but that address still cannot be verified by the local postal authority you assume all liability for lost or returned shipments and 49 Dzine will not be held liable for any loss incurred due to an incorrect shipping address.

Why does my order cost so much to ship?
49 Dzine will use the most cost-effective shipping method for your shipment unless you request a specific method be used. 49 Dzine charges the same amount for shipping as is charged to us by each carrier. 49Dzine does not profit from the shipping charged on any of your shipments.

I would like to talk to you about my order. What is your phone number?
49Dzine does not have a customer service phone number and as such asks that all communication in regard to your order be completed via email in order for us to retain records of all correspondence. If you have questions in regard to your wholesale order, please email wholesale@49design.org and please include your order number in all correspondence. We answer emails in the order they are received and as quickly as we are able to during regular business hours (Monday through Thursday 6am to 2pm).

I am in Calgary. Can I pick my order up at your retail store location?
Local pickup is available for some items listed on our wholesale website. If you are interested in local pick up, please email us at wholesale@49design.org with your purchase order number prior to completing payment and we will be able to provide details based on your particular order.

I want to cancel my order how do I do this?
Typically, any cancelations must be requested within the first 24 hours of your order being placed. Typically, items in your order will move into the production stage within 24 hours of the order being placed and as such cannot be canceled once production has been initiated. If you need to cancel an order for any reason, please email wholesale@49design.org as soon as possible. Please include your order number as well as brief description of items needing to be
cancelled and we will do our best to action your request.

How come all of the items from your retail site are not listed on your wholesale site?
We do our best to ensure a healthy and robust offering of items on our wholesale website but due to cost, production time and other factors not all items are eligible for wholesale pricing. Typically, any item that is a handmade artisan item will not be available for wholesale pricing as these items are unique and one of kind and are not massed produced. You can request some handmade items and it is up to the Indigenous artisan who makes them (they are not affiliated with 49 Dzine typically) to determine if they would like to accept your wholesale request. We will reach out to them on your behalf when requests for handmade items are made. Please note if we do offer handmade items, the wholesale pricing will not be as deep as it is with non-handmade items because we expect Indigenous artisans to receive fair compensation for their work.

I received some items damaged, what can I do? 
Send us photos of the damaged items to wholesale@49design.org and we will evaluate the best steps to take. Typically, we have to contact either the mail carrier that delivered them or the manufacturer that made them and determine where they were damaged. While each case will vary, usually we can get your items replaced and we will send you a shipping label to return the damaged product to us. 

Will I have to pay Duties and Customs Fees on my shipment?
Wholesale purchasers understand that they may incur taxes, customs duties, or other administration fees due to their order. 49 Design is not responsible in any way for paying these taxes, duties, or fees.

What is your return policy?
All Wholesale orders are marked final sale and do not qualify for returns or exchanges. It is the purchaser responsibility to report any shipment defects within 72 hours of receiving their shipment for replacements.
